I was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan where I graduated from Western Michigan University. There's 22 years of my life in one sentence.
My first radio job lasted three years in the small town of Otsego, Michigan. In 1982 I moved to Victoria, Texas for my next radio job. I met my wife, Lisa, in Victoria and we were married on September 9, 1989. I asked her if we could wait ten years so that we could be married on 9/9/99 but she didn't want to wait to marry me. Can you blame her?
We moved to Vegas in 1990 and I started working weekends at another radio station. I also worked at Walmart -- the Rainbow and Spring Mountain store. I didn't know my job very well but I was the best at making those in-store announcements. On July 22, 1991 I traded in my blue Walmart vest for the beginning of a 20-year run on Las Vegas radio. And now I'm happy to be part of the 96.3 KKLZ team.
I enjoy riding my bicycle in the morning and playing golf whenever I can.
We have two children: Lauren, 19 and a sophomore at Southern Utah University, and Connor, 18 and a senior at Centennial High School.
